Christmas in Croatia!

As a Christian holiday, Christmas is celebrated in a special way in many countries and nations.

Croatian people have been celebrating Christmas since the very beginning of Christian life accepted as the happiest and in many ways the most accepted Christian holiday. While Easter for Christians is the most important religious date, Christmas was and remains the most popular religious date in the nation customs. The reason is probably the general atmosphere, which is for at Easter she is reserved and quiet, and at Christmas she is cheerful and mostly mellow loose.

In our country, the Christmas preparations start already from the end of November, i.e. from the Feast of St. Kate. Advent wreaths are made, decorated with four candles, one for each Sunday before Christmas. On the feast of St. Nicholas, children receive gifts in cleaned boots. Wheat, a symbol of fertility, is traditionally sown on the Feast of Saint Lucia...

Traditionally, the Christmas tree is decorated on December 24, on Christmas Eve, and taken out on the Feast of the Three Kings on January 6, when the Christmas holidays end.
